About Ffenics
Ffenics, (the welsh word for Phoenix) is a new co‑operative providing mental health training and consultancy services. All our members are people who have lived experience of mental distress. Our aim is to challenge stigma, and to provide real employment and opportunities for people to develop and showcase their talents. The services we currently provide include:
Mental Health Awareness Training
We can help you to improve the services you offer, by better understanding the needs of customers who may be experiencing mental distress. We run courses for staff and managers or can design a bespoke course for your organisation's needs. We also train managers to reduce mental ill-health arising from workplace stress, and meet disability equality requirements.
Mental Health User Consultancy
Our consultants have many years of experience in improving services for people experiencing mental distress, primarily in Wales, but also across the UK. We work with people with a lived experience to influence services, and support organisations in all sectors to consult service users.
Development Work
We work with mental health organisations wanting to empower users or develop enterprises. We can also assist local organisations to challenge stigma and misunderstanding around mental health and promote inclusion and mental wellbeing in their community.
Promoting Recovery
We deliver programmes for people experiencing mental distress to help them regain control of their lives and manage their mental health more effectively. We also train mental health professionals to develop recovery-based practices.
