G&P Workshops

The G&P Project has delivered over 35 workshops across England and Wales in 2004. The workshops were free, and tailored for development professionals working to build the capacity of local community-based organisations across the social economy sector.

Attending any one of the free workshops, development professionals received a Development Toolkit, along with all other project resources and training on how to use the software application for legal forms and member involvement.

By the end of the workshop, participants had:

• An increased understanding of the range of legal forms and organisational types available for community groups, and how these affect participatory governance practices; 
• Identified common problems of governance and participation in the sector; and 
• Developed their skills in tackling governance and participation problems with the use of the application and other Governance & Participation Project resources.
