Opening Doors
The Opening Doors project provides mutual contact and approach between co‑operatives and other organisations that will assist in helping the co‑operative to develop and progress.
It aims to create a wide networking and support base for co‑operatives, helping them to meet their business needs and to access industry and market opportunities. It ensures that those organisations providing support to co‑operatives have a genuine understanding and appreciation of co‑operative values and principles.
The Opening Doors project identifies key organisations and individuals who are already working with, or who have the potential to work with co‑operatives, to improve their knowledge and understanding. This will lead to a far more supportive environment for co‑operative start-up and development in North East England.
Organisations involved in the Opening Doors project range from local authorities and business development agencies to educational bodies and media organisations.
