"A group of like-minded people coming
together to meet a business need"

Every co‑operative in the world starts from the same place: a group of like-minded people identifying a business need or opportunity and coming together to try and fulfil it.

Co‑operatives can be formed to meet any need large or small: from independent businesses joining together to increase their buying and selling power; to a small community taking over their local post office.

If you have identified this need, you need to find your founder co‑operators to help start making your co‑operative a reality.

Once that has been done, you need to find out whether your business idea is viable or not.

Find out more about doing that here.
