Dame Pauline Green

Born in Gzira, Malta, and graduated from the London School of Economics. Elected as Labour and
Retired from politics to become the first female Chief Executive of the Co‑operative Union on New Years Day 2000, leading the organisation through its merger with the Industrial Common Ownership Movement (ICOM) and its emergence as Co‑operatives UK until her retirement in October 2009. Currently also co-president of Co‑operatives Europe with Etienne Pflimlin of France.
