Preston Green Centre

Welcome to Preston Green Centre

Connecting the green movement in Preston

Our ambition -

To open a 'Green' Centre in Preston City Centre, to:

  • Bring together people and groups who are concerned about the environment or any aspect of it;
  • Be an information, education and resource centre, a 'one-stop shop' on the 'High Street' for 'everything green';
  • Signpost local groups/events/activities etc.;
  • Provide a not-for-profit 'social-space' in the City Centre.

We believe that by working together we can enthuse each other and combine our knowledge and various skills to achieve more - personally, socially and environmentally.

We believe that the 'green' way is to involve people, not just treat them as customers. Hence our vision that our centre will be run on the lines of a social /community centre, encouraging more Prestoners to join the environmental fraternity in supporting each other to take control and make better-informed and better decisions on the environmental and community issues which (will) affect our lives.
